Thanks. How long did it take and how much did it cost? Did you need a money order to pay?

I did. We went in the afternoon, which was a big mistake. It took us over 2 hours. No matter where you go in NYC, you must have a money order. I also suggest you bring a black pen so that you can fill out the forms while waiting in line.

Going to Queens Blvd. is definitely a BIG mistake. You're better off driving the extra 20 minutes to Plandome Road and getting it there. You'll be in and out in 10 minutes with no stress. You don't need a money order there either.

I did! I got there at 7:45am and the doors open at 8:30am. I was the first one on line, and once inside it took about 25 mins to fill everything out and pay and receive our license. Make sure you do not make any mistakes on the form b/c then you have to wait on the line (inside) again to see the teller. And bring a black pen! They will not accept a form in blue ink. Don't forget the $35.00 money order! Good luck!

Oh...I went on a Wed. morning

It took me about half an hour to wait on line. But, once it was my turn, everything went pretty quickly. Pretty painless - just make sure you bring a black pen and a $35.00 money order.

If you get there before it opens, you should be done by 9am.
