You're so good. I don't have the patience to do it all myself
Good luck with your planning and let me know if you find something incredible I should know about!

Are you dead set on South Africa? We're going to Tanzania (one week on safari in the serengeti and one week on the island of Zanzibar--best of both worlds!) and we booked (affordably for Africa) through a great company based in Arusha (a main tourist city). Let me know if you're interested or FM me.

i don't know about a travel agent, but try Roar Africa, they are a tour operator. I did some PR for South Africa hotels. If you need recommendations where to stay FM me.

Stella - what made you pick Tanzania over South Africa? Definitely FM me some details
Alicia - Thanks! He actually just responded to my email
ilonka - What areas of SA do you know the most about hotels? I was thinking of hitting up Capetown, a safari, and then Maritius.
OY- Let me know if you want me to put you in touch with the travel agent I've been talking to so far about this. The trip is pricely.. mine will definitely be over 10K BUT I'm sure some hotels the travel agent picked could be scaled back if your looking for saving a little $$.
Thanks so much ladies!! Jill I couldn't agree more - I'm totally obsessed with thinking about this honeymoon

Def. check out the Steenberg hotel(cape town), it's stunning but also pricey not sure how much you want to spend. Any of the Mantis Collection properties are also incredible but again pricey. I would suggest working with a travel agent or tour operator if this is your first trip to Africa. They can put a package together for you that will suite your needs. Also, Camp Jabulani is amazing you get to ride elephants =)

Today's New York Times Travel section has a whole piece about South Africa, and how it's not more affordable due to the exchange rate.
