Anyone going somewhere really exotic for their HM?

FH and I have been all over the world and have done the carribean. We were thinking of something really really different like Egypt or Dubai or Morroco. Egypt actually has some all-inclusives which look interesting.

But we are looking for other ideas too!

Anyone do/doing something that isnt the caribbean/mexico/Tahiti/etc.?

First off I'm envious...how wonderful that you have been so many places.

We decided to do a Mediterranean cruise (12 days) followed by a week in Ireland.

I know my cousin did 3 weeks in Australia on her hm & had an amazing time.

how bout an african safari? or a trip to south india? if you want to go really exotic tho, you may have to skip the all inclusive thing. all-inclusive are generally touristy spots, imo (but i have nothing against them - just my op for someone who wants to do something really different-really differnent places are by their definition off the beaten path & less touristy-hence not likely to have large all-inclusive resorts

are you definitely looking for an all-inclusive resort?

South african Safari sounds like a great idea. I have never been there myself, but I have heard amazing things about the Maldives and Saychelle (spelling?) islands.

How about Bali?

Bali was one of our top choices but it's not safe there right now. Click here for the official up to date travel advisory. It's a shame because Bali is gorgeous and the Four Seasons there is calling my name......

How about Fiji or French Polynesia?

A woman I knew died in a mudslide on an African safari. :( (i'm not kidding either)
She was from NY and was sitting next to her best friend. Her friend lived and she died...gives me chills thinking about it.

I guess it depens where in Africa you go. My sister just took a trip this summer to South Africa and Zambia, and she absolutely loved it. it included a 3 day safari and a trip to Victoria falls.
