Anyone going to change their zip up dress to a corset?

Anyone going to change their zip up dress to a corset?

I am thinking about having the dress made into a corset back instead of a zipper....you think it would be too much? I love the way corset dresses felt...I felt much more secure in them...but of course the one I fell madly in love with has a plain zipper....suggestions? Experiences? Is it going to be too much going on?

That dress is geourgeous!
I don't think it would be too much going on. You see dresses with a lot more detail work, with corsets. I would ask a seamstress' opinion.
Good luck!

ETS- I am also not doing a corset. If I had my choice, I would go with buttons, but my dress is a zipper. But again, that detail wasn't a huge issue for me.

Jenn, your dress is gorgeous!!!

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I don't know if it can be done because there's a lot of beading even on the back bodice of the dress.

Check with your seamstress, they might be able to do it.

I am in the same boat. I'm not changing my dress, but I am going to get a corset for under the dress!

I love the idea of changing it to a corset, but you would of course have to make sure you find a kick butt seamstress to do it. Love the idea!

if it was not made that way i wouldnt play with it. it will also cost $$$$ to get that done properly

Oh, stick with zippers! Mine is corset and buttons and I cannot get out of the dress to go to the bathroom. Zippers would be so nice and convenient!

I love the look of a corset too but of course fell in love with a zip up back. I'm probably going to wear a corset underneath.

I like the zipper on that dress! I wouldn't want to mess with it, not knowing what it might look like.

Im not too worried about that...3 of my bm's and I had a mock potty break the other day at the salon when I was showing them my gown...and yes it really is going to take 3 of them..maybe even 4 to hold up all of the layers of my dress and the crinoline...but they can do it!

I wish I could because I LOVE how it pulls everything in, instead I have a side zipper which is a pain!
