anyone going to kleinfelds for a dress?

that was my first stop, i didnt get it from there but they had a great selection!!! i would just try to avoid the weekends if possible, it can get kinda crazy in there

I didn't.

I was going to, but then figured it would just be more of an inconvenience to me to go for fittings and whatnot. I live and work here on LI, so it's a pain for my to go into the city. With so many bridal shops out here, there was no reason for me to take the extra trip. If it were just one time, going to pick out the dress and that's it, then yes I would've. But I decided not to since I'd have to keep going in for fittings.

This is why I didn't go...my budget was around there and I felt like if I went in and told them I didn't want to spend more than that they'd look at me sideways and not really want to help me.

yeah if i would have stepped foot in there i know i would have fell in love with a $10,000 dress!

I'm sure I would have had the same problem...whenever I watch the show I see they always are showing the brides dresses out of their price range...I'd be pi$$ed if they did that to me.

This is why when I went dress shopping, I gave the stores a number LESS than my actual budget. That way if they did show me gowns a little higher, I could still negotiate

I wouldn't bother going all the way to the city and having to deal with annyoing sales people if I knew I wouldn't be buying my dress there...but that's just me.

I went to Kleinfelds it was my first stop and was COMPLETELY dissappointed. I think I had a crappy consultant! :(

i went there for a friend. I'm her MOH. her budget was around that and we felt like the lady was looking down on us for having such a low budget, like we shouldn't even be there. It was such a bad experience for my friend that I didn't even consider going there when i was dress shopping.

I'm going to kleinfelds to try on some dresses on June 13th its cool because my mom got her dress at kleinfelds 35 years ago when it was still a shop in Brooklyn so I'm excited to go. I was just wondering if anyone else is planning on going to kleinfelds or has gone to kleinfelds it might be an interesting topic to start

I went there not expecting to buy anything and found THE ONE!
It wasn't an amazing experience or anything. I dont think I ever had a great experience looking for anything wedding related. People are nice and helpful. I received good service and met Lazaro - all in all it was nice.

I went I hated every minute of it. The sales staff push Pnina Tornai dresses, and they do have tons of dresses but they have them all in one room, in which they are in plastic bags one on top each other in plastic bags. I would go only if you live in the city.

A friend of mine used to work there, and she said a consultant named Jenny Cara is great.

An 08 LIW bride had an apointment with her, and also raved about it.

Another friend of mine had DIane and said she was excellent too.

And like someone said in one of the comments above, Keisha is amazing-one of our 09ers had her and always raves.
