Anyone gotten a phone call saying they won a trip from Royal Prestige??

I just received a phone call from this guy saying that we won a 3day 2night trip to bahamas or mexico.... the catch is he has to come to your house and give him opioions on his products they do have a wedsite and all but i just thought it was such a scam and that is what i told him i was just wondering if anyone else got a phone call at anytime!! God i hate when u fill things out at bridal showcases!! cause u never know who is going to call!! Thanks

I've gotten 2 messages on my cell phone from a girl saying that I won 2 gifts from Royal Prestige and should call right away. I read about the scam on these boards and ignored the messages. So irritating!!!

We had a whole dramamabout this a few weeks ago! (any1 care to elaborate?)... But I think the deal with these is that it isn't a scam. YOu watch a presentation, you don't have to buy anything and u get a hotel stay. it's not a luxury vcation, just 2 nights at a holiday inn. I've heard the stuff is nice. I'm just putoff by the fact that we had a in here braging about them a few months ago.

ETA: it's not a scam, it's a marketing strategy.I got the same call about '21st Century Conepts' and I was gonna go just for the heck of it. You have nothing to lose.

I received a few calls from Royal Prestige after attending a Bridal expo. They stopped calling after a while.

paulsbride...do you have a reason for saying this, or are you assuming? We've ad brides on here with good experiences with them.

I got the same call and I actually went. You sit and listen to an hour long presentation. There is NO pressure to buy anything. Of course they'd like you to buy but we didn't and left no problem. The pans cook really well (they give you a demonstration) but the whole set costs around $2,000. Way too much for our wedding budget.

Regardless of whether you buy or not you get a 3 day 2 night hotel voucher at 18 different destinations. We haven't used it yet so I can't tell you if it's 100% truthful. You have 18 months to use it. We were thinking about stopping in Vegas on our way back from our honeymoon. We're going to use the vouchers. The hotels aren't 5 star. They are decent 3 star hotels (i think)

They are always calling me. We went, it was an absolute waste of time. I wanted my 2 hours back.

Oh god, I just got this call, and I knew what it was all about already, so I let the guy go on for a minute, and he was like, 'Well, aren't you excited that you just won!?' And I said, 'Do I SOUND excited?' In a really dry tone, and he got really uncomfortable sounding. Then I told him to take my number out of his system cause I'm not interested. SO ANNOYING!

Its not a SCAM

Scam means they promise something and don't deliver.

I went to the presentation.. (they're vendors on this board as a matter of fact) and it's painless.

I didnt buy a thing.. got the hotel stay.. but Jim has no passport! LOL

Actually we later pot some pots that Jim fell in love with and got the upgraded gift as well.

So we got two prizes.

I didn't know who they were but when i told them that we had been living together for years and had pretty much everything - I wasn't eligible for thier prize.

FH and I also went to Royal Prestige's presentation b/c of the free vacation.

They called right after we had gotten back from an expo last summer...we decided to go just because hey, even if it was a scam it was only like 2 hours of our time. We sat through they're little cooking demonstration...tasted the food that they cooked in front of us (which was pretty good) then told them that we had no intentions of buying cookware at that time!

We got a voucher for a free trip (which is supposedly valid through 12/04)...FH thinks I should throw the voucher out but I say what the hell...what if they will actually pay for even one night of a vacation...that's one night less that we have to pay for. We also got a coupon for a free camera...which for laughs I sent away for. We got the camera...the cheesiest most oudated camera ever designed...it was so cheesy that FH broke it taking it out of the box!! It was worth it for the 20 minute laughing fit we had alone!

I don't think it is cnecessarily a scam...we did get the voucher, we just havn't used it yet. Hope that helps.
