Re: anyone had/been to Leonard's for a reception?
Overall it was a good wedding. I dont think anything stood out imparticular. The food was very good. The service was OK. The maitre'd came around about half way through the reception and collected the table numbers off of every table. Thought that was a little weird. But overall its a very nice place.

I haven't been to a wedding there...but I'm having my wedding there. I did a food tasting and thought everything was very good. I've talked to quite a few people outside of LIW that have been to parties there and they all said that it was great and that the food was great!
God luck with your planning!

I went to a party there are new years eve - I'm not the best person to ask about them though they had a party in every room, half of our party didn't get their food on time (45 minutes later than everyone else) they had way too many parties going on and were totally over their heads. The food was ok, it wasn't spectacular but it wasn't terrible. I do know many vendors call it the wedding factory, and a few I talked to said they were less than impressed with Leonards.

i went to a wedding at leonards in july 2006, so about 2 years ago, and it was spectacular.. maybe it was the way the bride, groom and their families made it out to be.. the food was excellent, endless rounds of cocktails, dinner was there on time, we all had sit down dinner and it was a huge indian wedding, i'm talking about 600 guests, and it all happend without a glitch..
it all depends on how you want to do it.. and you'll hear different people saying different things, ultimately, if you like a place, and you feel comfortable, go with them..
best!

I have been there in the past, many years ago for christmas parties that my company had thrown. 5/6 years later, and my Father-in-law to be, is an exterminator, and he has done Leonard's and he told me that they were infested with rats big time. I don't know if that is taken care of, and i dont want to scare you away from it, but i would ask them about that before you do anything.

Leonards is very nice. Just be aware that multiple weddings are going on at a time, so you will not be the only bride. Last time I went to Leondards, I think I saw 4 brides.

there was a girl who used to post on the boards and used to work at leonard's and said their kitchen is actually really clean, maybe you can go and ask them to see the kitchen? doesnt hurt to ask.

I went to a wedding in May 2007 and it was very nice.
The food was good and the service was okay. I don't remember the waiter being on top of us all the time, but I actually prefer that. The best part of the entire party was the Vienesse hour--it was yummy!

They usually make sure that brides don't see each other...and depending on the day you may actually be the only bride.
