Why is this so hard??
First it's a cruise, then it's St. Lucia, then St. Maarten, then Aruba, now it's back to the cruise....ugh.

Yes! We can't decide between a cruise and Grand Canyon/Vegas/Napa Valley...I think we're leaning toward a cruise ONLY because this weekend FH brought it up and I said that I'd love either of them, but with all the wedding planning, will we really want to plan a road trip from the Canyon to Napa? I think money-wise, a cruise would actually be more economical than the Canyon/Vegas/Napa thing anyway!

Price is usually the deciding factor....so my suggestion would be to wait till march of next year, price out a few different options and go from there. Good luck!

I JUST recently booked my honeymoon....it was a tough decision to make but in the end its awesome b/c we booked our DREAM vacation. So take your time, don't rush , it'll work out and you'll find what works best for you & your FH.
Also I found prices have gone DOWN in the last year...so don't worry too much.

Yes.. i really want to go to hawaii but i know that it is really expensive and i have no clue where we'll be financially around the wedding (like if we buy a house or something).. argh.

we have airline credit for American that we HAVE to use.....and we would love to book during some of these sales but just are not ready to decide where to go

Ugh, don't even get me started on the HM! With 5 months to go, I still have NOTHING. We are going to go to Greece eventually, but not until July-September 2010 because of weather reasons, so therefore, FH deems it not necessary to book now. We are attempting to take a minimoon the week before Christmas for a long weeken just to do SOMETHING, but that has yet to be done as well. Arguing over Key West or Newport. I am beginning to think we will not be going anywhere.

We've been having a hard time deciding too. We wanted to go to Turks and Caicos but we want an all-inclusive and the only all-inclusives there is Club-Med and Breezes. We're also looking for someplace that doesn't have any kids. Who knows where we will end up. My FH says 'I'm paying so I'm picking'.

Us too. We've thrown around:
Italy/Greece Australia Hawaii St Lucia Turks and Caicos
And we can't decide. I'm leaning towards Cali/Hawaii but I think FH is leaning more towards St Lucia.

My opinion is if you aren't very particular on activities (just want a nice hotel, beach and pool) then choose the destination with a direct flight. You don't want to have to worry about connecting flight and lost luggage on your honeymoon. I know St Maarten has direct flights from NYC. We went there 2 years ago and stayed at La Samana. Gorgeous hotel and the beach is only available to hotel guests.

Try looking for an island in greece! its absolutly breath taking!! I do not recommend going to Mykonos though, very touristy, and is definatly the 'party' island where all the younger generation goes. Still beautiful though if you are looking for that type of getaway. Otherwise try salamina, or Limnos. Limnos is more locals then tourists.

We haven't booked ours yet. We are not sure when to go or where yet. We may have to wait to go later due to finances and work schedules
