FH is driving me INSANE with having 2 RSVP dates because he doesn't want the people on the b-list to know they are on it.
He also thinks that, because we are so OVER with our #s, if we make the a-list RSVP really early, that people will say no because they don't have enough time to decide, so they'll just say no.......WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I think he's losing it!
Anyone do anything like this? I'm probably crazy for even asking.....

My friend actually did it. Her reasoning was that people who respond no don't send back their RSVP's right away. She sent the A list out 2 1/2 months in advance and then the B list a month later. It worked out well for her.

I never thought about that but it might not be a bad idea...I have an A and B list and I want to be able to send invites out the B's as I get declines from the A's....but I forgot about the B's not having enough time to RSVP.

it might not be a bad idea to have 2 RSVP dates.
and just as an FYI, I know an eBay vendor who sells JUST the RSVP card for less than $10! inexpensive way to save someone's feelings... IMO

I plan to do that too. Even though DF is COMPLETELY against the B list. HE would just invite every one if it is up to him.
SO we agreed to have the B-List but the only people on the B-List are people that dont know any of the A-Listers, so they cant compare notes.

I did this and it is a great way for your 'B' list not to realize they are on the 'B' list.

I would do two. A friend got an invite for a wedding 6 days before the RSVP date! she didnt want to go just for that reason. she was obviously a B or even C lister!

This is what I did. People are very inconsiderate and M ANY will not reply un time for the rsvp date.

We had two...we printed our own invites so it was easy though.
