Anyone have a cake WITHOUT flowers?

I don't think I want to pay to have flowers put on my cake but all the pictures I see of cakes have flowers. Will the cake look boring without them? Anyone have pics of cakes without any flowers?

Usually your florist will decorate the cake with fresh flowers for free. You could ask if they would do that for you. If not, I have seen some gorgeous cakes (don't have any pics at work) that have no flowers.

We aren't having flowers. We are having our cake Decorated with Snow flakes.

Ours was without, just because we had other stuff going on (topper, dots and a frosting ribbon).

We had sugar paste flowers on ours, not real ones.

I saw no reason to have flowers on my cake, and I thought it was beautiful and yummy too!!!!!

you don't need flowers it all depends on how the cake is decorated

I dont want flowers on my cake, i dont know what my cake will look like, but i know i dont want flowers on it

Me! I don't like flowers on cakes at all! I don't bring up the issue often b/c I don't want to offend the girls who love the look. To me, it's a gimmick that allows bakers not to have to decorate cakes. I love flowers but I told my caterer that flowers are flowers and cakes are cakes and each should speak for itself. And stuff growing out of a cake never looked right to me. My florist even mentioned throwing in flowers for that and I declined. As it turns out, we didn't even put my cake topper on. I was so happy w/ my cake.
