I want to make meatloaf tomorrow night and I'm tired of using store bought brown gravy. Thanks Ladies!

Re: anyone have a good brown gravy recipe
Take the meatloaf out of the pan (after it's done). Put the pan on the burner and add some flour to the pan, enough to soak up the oil left in the pan. Let that cook for a few minutes, stirring frequently and scraping up all the bits stuck to the pan. Add some water, a little at a time until the gravy is the consistancy that you want. Add salt and pepper to taste. That's a basic brown gravy for ya!

I do the same as Anniegrl, but sometimes if there aren't enough drippings in the pan I add a little butter with the flour. I also use beef broth in place of water if there aren't many drippings so the gravy gets a more beefy flavor. Oh yeah, and a drop of that stuff in the little bottle, I think it's called gravy master.
