Who is it and is it much? I was thinking about switching plans so me and DH could both have one. We wouldn't use it much so I don't want it if its going to be a lot of money every month.

I'd be interested in knowing this too... right now my Dh and I each have a cell phone, and we have REALLY cheap plans, but of course we're looking to see if we can get anything cheaper still because we hardly ever use our phones. I may do some shopping around, so I'll let you know if I find anything worthwhile!

cingular is always advertising their family plans. don't know how good the service is on LI though. it's great in the city.

We have the verizon family plan and we are pleased with it. Based on the number of minutes you contract for the price can vary - after the primary phone, each additional phone is $20. For us it comes out to $100 a month but we have a lot of minutes since DH uses his cell all day long.

Thanks Christine. Right now we are paying about $43- a month for one phone with AT&T. If we can switch to Verizon and get the same price & only pay an extra $20 for the other one, we may do it. But we don't want to pay much more than that since I would hardly be using mine.

Do you know how many minutes you'll need? Just a few bits of info... Cingular uses the same towers as tmobile. Also on Nov. 24th cellphone numbers will be transferrable from provider to provider so if you want to keep your number you may want to wait until Nov. 24th.

We have T-MOBILE family share plan and we get 800 share between us and unlimited between mine & DH's phones. We get unlimited weekend minutes and free long distance and no roaming--
their service sometimes leaves something to be desired, but I will say that their customer service is AMAZING!
