3 lbs. round steak or beef chuck
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Place meat on an 18x12' sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Sprinkle the dry soup mix over the meat. Wrap up tightly in the foil, using double folds. Place in roasting pan and bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours. An hour before it's done, open up the foil and put scrubbed potatoes and carrots around the meat if you like. Then bake until vegetables are tender. Serves 6-8

Variations:

1) Add 1 10-oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup with the dry soup mix.

2) Pour 1 cup burgundy wine over the meat along with the dry soup mix.

1-boneless beef pot roast, about 3 pounds
4 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp garlic powder
1 TBSP minced onion
2 TBSP broiled steak seasoning
2 TBSP oil or butter
1 cup red wine
Freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste

Let roast soak in Worcestershire sauce for 2 minutes on each side. and reserve the Worcestershire sauce. Season with the onion, garlic powder, pepper, and broiled steak seasoning. Brown on all sides in a 6-quart Dutch oven in the oil or butter over medium heat .Add the wine and the reserved Worcestershire sauce and reduce heat until no bubbles are visible. Cook, turning every 30 minutes until meat thermometer registers internal temperature of 155 to 160 degrees.

Go to a good butcher and ask them for a beef tenderloin and ask them to 'prepare' it. Let them wrap it in bacon and some herbs.
Take it home, pop it in the oven for 45 minutes at 375 and it's done - now that's non-invasive!
