Anyone have a recommendation for a good architect?

We were working with an old friend of DH's, but it appears he has trouble returning phone calls which unacceptable to me, friend or not. So we're looking for someone else.

Thanks!

We used Hawkins Webb & Jaeger in Port Jefferson Village for our master bedroom suite, and then used Robert ______ (OMG, I can't believe I just blanked out on his last name!....I left it blank because it'll come back to me in a bit, and I'll edit this post with the rest of his name), in Stony Brook. He designed a 3,700 sq. foot addition which we have not started building at this time.

Don't be shocked at the costs...I had no idea how expensive architects can be...but when you think about all the hours and research and knowledge they have, they definately deserve it.

This last design (the 3,700 sq. ft), was $8,000.
