I'm getting married at the watermill next May and wanted to see some pics of past weddings there to get an idea of the setup. My reception will be in the vanderbilt room. If any of you girls have pics of an outside cocktail hour and any pics of the reception.
I have been there for many weddings. Food is great, beautiful place inside and out they really take good care of it. I was considering the place. They can have up to 2 weddings. Theirs an upstairs ball room and downstairs (basement) ball room. I did not choose the Watermill because with the amount of guests I'm having (little over 200) I could only have the downstairs ball room. To me it was to closed in, ceilings were to slow, hallway too narrow and small bridal room. I just didn't like the feeling. They renovated the upstairs ball room added a fireplace very nice. I told him I wanted the upstairs it just could not fit the amount of people.

i'm having my wedding at The Watermill just a little over a month before you next year! I have been to a wedding there before and it was great - but it was really small.
So, I'd appraciate any input or information anyone can provide on this as well!

My Watermill wedding is coming up VERY soon... August 24th!!! I'll be sure to post a review when I get back from my honeymoon, the first week of September.
Also, a bride here named 'tarakinspa' had her wedding there in the Vanderbilt room, if you do a search on her you can find pictures.
I can't wait, I'm sure if you pick the WMill you will love it! Everyone has been so nice and accomodating to me so far.

I had my reception at the Watermill in the Vanderbilt room on February 15, 2003. We had approximately 185 people and there was plenty of room down there. To this day, people are still raving about our wedding saying how wonderful it was. The place was really nice and the food was amazing. My guests also liked the fact that the bar was a little separate from the room and all the smokers had a place to go in the bar without having to leave the wedding. Natalie, I was married at the Watermill March 23, 2003. Everything was great!!!!!! We were in the Astor Room with 104 people!!!! Good Luck!

I have been to one wedding at the watermill. The place is so beautiful. The grounds are excellent. The wedding I went to the reception was in the big room downstairs ( basement) To me it felt like you were cut off from everything and you were truly in the basement. However the food was excellent and so was the service so the basment feeling went unnoticed after awhile anyway.
