Anyone have a wall oven?

Hello,

Our new house has a wall oven, and a island stove top. Do you like the wall oven? What name brand do you have? Where did you get it?If you dont mind....how much did you spend?

We need to replace the wall oven and stove top. I just wanted some imput on it.

TIA

my parents have a double wall oven and I wish my kitchen had one! It was much nicer to not have to bend down to put stuff in the oven. Their's is GE I believe- as for the price- I can't help you on that.

I have a double wall oven that I just replaced with a bigger and better one. The original one was old and too small but I like the idea of a wall oven esp the double since I am a big cooker!

I originally wanted the GE Profile 27' wall oven because it got great reviews and it seemed to have the most cubic space inside. But based on price I found a similar model for a little less money (like $600) by Whirlpool that worked for me - so far so good. I think it was the one with eth second most cubic space inside. I got convection in one oven and regular in the other. It is also stainless.

This might be it... I can't remember the model number.

Re: Anyone have a wall oven?

I had a wall oven growing up as a kid .. and we have one in our house now .. and I LOVE them!

Our kitchen is in desperate need of an update, however .. sadly, though, it is just not in our budget.

The problem:

The wall oven we currently have is a very small model .. so obviously .. whatever we'd get would be bigger .. even if we didn't get a double .. so whatever new one goes in .. the cabinets would need some adjusting in order to get the new oven in there to fit .. so how can we do that .. without having to redo all the cabinets??

So .. there is our budget dilemma. Also .. the stove is basically about as old as the oven .. and anything new that went in would also probably be at least a bit bigger .. which would mean the counter would have to be adjusted.

ANYWAY .. we'd also need to find someone capable of installing gas models.

So .. bottom line .. this is not a project in our immediate future .. unless I'm just overthinking this .. and there is an easier solution????

I wound up getting bigger but I was lucky in that it was in a wall by itself. The issue was the wall was brick and I couldn't find anyone to cut the brick at a reasonable price for months. To make the hole about 2-3 inches bigger, I got a quote over $800. And most people wouldn't even touch the job.

I didn't replace the stove top yet..just the oven because I was in desparate need - it wasn't working right anymore. The stove top could use replacing but eventually in the next 5 years I plan on re-doing the entire kitchen so I am goign to see if I can hold off on that.
