Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
My niece was 1.5 my SIL walked with her down the aisle. For the photos she was okay since her dad (my brother) just held her. She was not a fan of any photos without her mom or dad though.

Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
My Niece is 4, but she has been saying to my brother for the past 4 months that she does not think she can go through with this , and I swear she has sit down conversation with my brother about it.
She also said she wanted to wear a Spiderman outfit and not a dress. I suggested my brother get her Spiderman underwear to wear under the dress, so maybe that would work.
I am praying she is fine that day once she sees everyone else getting dressed up, but we will never know!

If she doesn't go down the aisle that will be the point where everyone laughs and says AW. If she doesn't get in the pics w/ everyone take one of just her and you! Or ask the photographer to taek photojournalistic shots of her. Set yourself up now for her not being into it, then if she is you can be happy. Just 2 is a rough age, my DD was about that age when she was a FG and she cried all the way down the aisle, wasn't in any pics, but the ones I took b4 hand and the others my mom took at the church, but she looks so sullen. It'll be fine as long as you don't expect too much. Good Luck!!!

Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
my fg will have just turned 3 a month before the wedding. im not worried about her since she loves to be in the spotlight and stands on top of her toy box with a hairbrush in her hand and sings 'a whole new world' and thinks shes on american idol. i'm a little worried about her older brother who will be 4 at the time of the wedding and is very shy. i can see her telling her brother, its ok we're almost to the end of the aisle.

We will be having four flower girls. The youngest will be two (FH's niece). At that age you need to expect the unexpected. We are having a situation with the youngest FH and limo. FH's SIL (My FSIL) says that she might want to go in the limo if her sisters (Jr. Bridesmaids) are in there. FH and I feel she is too young and the fact that the limo is going to be very crowded. Plus, basic common sense and the fact that the bride should not have to babysit on her wedding day. I know some people.

I have 2 flower girls... my goddaughter and her sister that is 2 years old. I am hoping she will walk being that she is walking with her sister. If not, I will have my sister (MOH) grab her hand and walk together.

Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
Funny you should mention that....FH's cousin (who is about 3yrs) was in a wedding a year ago and her mom said she just didnt want to behave. First, she didnt want to walk down the aisle, she insisted the groom go get her and walk her down..lol, then, once she was up by the alter she started to SING! lmao!! THEN she yells that she needs to use the BATHROOM! ....poor bride...well to make a long story short she is def. not our FG haha but you also have to remember that every child is different...at that they mature quickly...so dont assume shes going to misbehave because shes in terrible two's..maybe she'll be one of those perfect FG's

Do you have anyone she can walk down with like a ring bearer or something, this way you can be sure she will go down?

Oh my............
My sister got married last year and had her 2 year old as the flowergirl. Welll, not only did she NOT walk down the isle with the ring bearer, but she had a temper tantrum and my sister had to carry her down the aisle as she walked down with my dad. And the pictures were just as bad. Not sure if my neice was just having a bad day, but WOWzers!!!!! My poor sister was so upset............

Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
i saw on a show - they got an inexpensive umbrella stroller and then they had it decorated with flowers and someone (you can have an older child in the wedding do it or her parents) pushed her down teh aisle - it was adorable!
i have alos heard of people doing it with a wagon - i guess it makes it more fun for the kids

Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
My cousin will be our FG and she'll be 1 1/2 when we get married. I'm not too concerned since she loves the spotlight. If worse comes to worse, my aunt said she will walk her down....or we'll put a plate of food or a banana up by the altar and she'll run towards it

Re: Anyone have a YOUNG flower girl???...
well my RB was only 20 months...he walked down the aisle holding my brothers hand who was a Groomsman. Looks really adorable in pictures.
Is either of her parents in the bridal party? They could always carry her down if necessary, I have seen that at some weddings, always looks cute.
Also, i had no problems with my RB getting into the necessary pictures.
