Anyone have an easy Quiche recipe?

My family used to make that once in a while and I liked it (Quiche Lorraine or Spinach Quiche).

Here you go!

Quiche Lorraine

Prep Time: approx. 15 Minutes.
Cook Time: approx. 55 Minutes.
Ready in: approx. 1 Hour 20 Minutes. Makes 1 - 9 inch pie (6 servings).

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
12 slices bacon
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/3 cup minced onion
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups light cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white sugar
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2 Place bacon in a large skillet, and fry over
medium-high heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels, then chop coarsely. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion into pastry shell.
3 In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, sugar and cayenne pepper. Pour mixture into pastry shell.
4 Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce heat to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Allow quiche to sit 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.

Thanks. Where do you get pastry shell? Or do you have to make your own?

You just buy it in the frozen section of the supermarket. I also pre-bake mine just to make sure the crust doesn't come out soggy. Put it in the oven (before you fill it) for about 5 - 7 minutes. Make sure you prick it with a fork too. Then you can add the filling.

Re: Anyone have an easy Quiche recipe?

you could also try making quiche with the bisquick mix. its really easy to do. you can substitute any vegetable in this recipe.

2 cups chopped broccoli or sliced fresh cauliflowerets
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs

1. Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Heat 1 inch salted water to boiling in medium saucepan. Add broccoli; cover and heat to boiling. Cook about 5 minutes or until almost tender; drain thoroughly. Stir together cooked broccoli, onion, bell pepper and cheese in pie plate.
2. Stir remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into pie plate.
3. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes.

My mother makes the most delicious quiches I've ever tasted, I will get the recipe for you. She uses Bisquick and they are crustless.
