I am planting grass in a large tray and putting the tiny chairs out. We are then going to have a sign that says please take your seat.

We're doing a tree and hanging from it will be gold, wooden hearts on white ribbons. The hearts will have the names and tables on them. I will be making them. I don't know where the one I made went. If I find it, I'll post a pic.

That is such a cute idea! We still don't know what we're doing for placecards.

We are buying blank place cards. We are taking images from pictures we've taken, scanning them and lightening them, printing then onto the balnk cards. Then we overlaying a translucent paper over them with the name and table number of each person. We are making corresponding table markers for each table instead of those table markers that come with the place.

as a spinoff idea...
you could have a picture for each table...and if there are 10 placecards for that table then break the picture up like a puzzle into 10 pieces... print a piece on each placecard then your guest have to find there table based on the piece and the whole picture that will be on the table...

We are using hershey bars and making the wrapper personalized with the table number etc on it.

I was going to use small clear boxes with a clear label over the top with guests name and table # and put red foil hershey kisses in the boxes (my theme color is red) but now I may try something different and play off of my wedding being so close to the holidays. Maybe I will ty to use shiny red christmas balls or something...hmm....
