Anyone have any feelings about Bethpage or Old Bethpage?

Excellent, excellent, and excellent. I live in Plainview which is right next to both and the area is wonderful, schools are great (both are similar in terms of ratings), and the commute is about 45-50 minutes from Hicksville --which is about a 5-10 minute drive to the station.

However, if you decide on Old Bethpage the Bethpage or Farmingdale stations would be closer to you but have less trains. Both are great areas.

Old Bethpage is beautiful and great SD. I lived in Bethpage for a little while and loved it. Both are great areas w/ good SD and not too far from NYC. You may want to see how far you'd be from a main train line (i think Hicksville may have more trains going out, not sure though).

I grew up in Old Bethpage and went to Bethpage Schools. If I was a block over I would have gone to Plainview...

I have nothing bad to say. It is beautiful area. and the schools are great.

Good luck with your search... I will tell you though if youa re looking in plainview a morton ranch start at 400,000.... The prices are on the higher side. But well worth it.

We were looking there too but we ended up in Syosset a town over.

If you are looking for a great real estate agent we used Prudential on Old country road. fm me with any questions

I live in syosset but in actuality the Hicksville train station is closer for me..my commute door to door is about 1 45 to 2 hrs. I also work on the upper east side. The commute sucks for me but maybe not for you.

Thanks everyone!
Hill & Ron - how is the commute 2 hours? I thought Hicksville was a 45 minute train ride.
