Anyone have any secrets...

on how to get tickets for Jones Beach? Is online the best way to go? I dont want to spend hours trying to call ticketmaster

I think is the best way is online....I've done this a few times with no problems.

You can either get them from www.ticketmaster.com or you can go to one of the ticketmaster outlets..

for the 50 Cent tixx?? I have been elected to get these tixx for my brothers...theya re in NY, me in RI..and I have a MUCH easier time calling ticketmaster since I am out of state, I can get thru much faster///What are Good seats??? Are the orchestra seats teh best??? Never been there!

In my opinion, the BEST way to get seats is to go that day. I have gotten so much better seats that way than from using Ticketmaster. Go like an hour or two before the show st arts and alot of times they will have floor seats left that they didn't sell or they use for promotional purposes and don't need anymore. I used to do this when I saw 'N Sync (!) and they were always sold out and I usually just went that night and got great seats. And they were pretty big with 13 year old girls a few years ago!

I'm lucky, DH is a stagehand with the local union that does the shows there. So all I have to do is say 'I want to go see the so and so concert' and I go!! Backstage, too. I don't abuse it, though. I only go to see the ones I really want to see.

The only secret is to do what merf99 said....wait until the very last minute, and get tickets either the day before or day of. You have to be persistent though, check online constantly for availability.

One secret that I can let out...

The day of any concert, any time between 4PM and 5PM, the promoters and others who have tickets that they didn't get rid of, release them back to Ticketmaster.

I once sat in Tower Records for 1 1/2 hours the day of a Billy Joel concert waiting to get tickets. I annoyed the CRAP out of the ticketmaster people there making them try over and over again, and sure enough at 5:15, 2 tickets 5th row center popped up!

Great show!
