Anyone have Dept 56 collections? If so, which ones?

I started collecting the 'Christmas in the City' village and some Snow Babies a few years back. I'm still building onto my village though...

every year for christmas i get my aunt a new piece of the village collection. I think its such a pretty collection

I have hundreds!!! My DH's parents collected them for years and when the moved last year, they ran out of space and gave them all to us. I like them...but we just have SO many!!! DH is a Christmas FREAK!

My mom has d!ckens villiage collection and she has probably about 200 houses if not more..

I always loved christmas in the city and when I have my own home I am going to start collecting it..

I buy my mom 2 houses every year... this year my company store just got like 4 houses and sold them to me for 50% off, but i could not wait to give them to her so i gave them to her now!!

She even has the ones that you keep up all year long

i love them too. kelly - you're lucky! they are sooo expensive! lisa rose just got me to start buying them on ebay. BIG mistake! so far i have radio city hall, yankee stadium (Dh is a fan - I'm a MET fan!), local firehouse, police pct, church, restaurant in little italy, and wedding chapel.. oh and an iceskating rink.

Between the houses and the accessories...you need your sunglasses to walk into my living/dining rooms!

This year we are inheriting their trains....YIPPEEE!!!

I don't mean to sound ungrateful...but it's a lot of work, between putting them up, taking them down and then storing them ever so carefully!

no, i know.. it is more stuff to worry about.. as if the holidays aren't enough to deal with from the start? well, you will get off the hook one day when you and scott have little ones.. at least for a few years!!!

I collect Christmas in the City. Love it - but it is definitely a TON of work, plus you need a lot of storage for it the other 11 months.

My family and I have a serious addiction to Snow Village. I have a decent collection by now since I was given 1 house or accessory each year for Christmas. My favorite was the church with B&G I got last year for my wedding

Now I need a big house with a huge bay window to display all of them around the holidays!!

I also have Christmas in the City. I love it, but I have never been able to use it since I live in an apartment. Next Christmas though...I'll be married with a house!!

this year will be my first year showing them off as well! teri - just like u said.. i need a nice bay window to REALLY show them off! next thing on the house project list!

I collect the Christmas in the City houses. I only have a few. My mom has the Dickens houses She has like 40 of them -- she does this whole x-mas scene-- I love it . We bought the Yankee stadium last year -- it is so cute...

I have one that my Aunt gave me and I really would like to get a few more pieces. I think it is the Dicken's collection.

My mother collected them about 10 years ago but she is looking to get rid of them. I don't know if she still has them. I know that she had the Dickens Christmas Village.

I have Christmas in the City! My mother has snow village and my MIL has Dicken's. I can't wait to set them up in my house this year, but I don't know where I'm going to put them!
