I was diagnosed @ 6.5wks which is really early. So my doctors are saying that I must have been prediabetic with type 2 diabetes. Pretty much I have been diet control and monitoring my sugar 4x daily since wk 7 now going on 14wks. My fastings now have been in the low 90's what they want them to be is below 90. I am not sure if it's what I'm eating before bedtime or if it's time for medication @ this point. I am thinking of cal my diabetic NP but I hate having to deal with her. Anyone ever have GDM with pregnancy

You need to go to a nutritionist to teach you how to eat a GDM diet. And whatever diet they put you on you have to follow the timing of the meals with the amounts. The diet is basically 6-7 small meals a day. Its very important not to add anything or skip meals. Basically whatever is written on the diet sheet, you follow. If you're compliant with the diet and still your fasting sugars are above 90 and your MD isn't happy with them, he may put you on insulin or an oral medication. Good luck with everything.
