That's similar to the color that I'll be doing my kitchen in a couple of weeks (looking SO forward to painting - NOT! )

annie, what color? brand? is it?

I don't remember the name of the color, sorry, but I think the brand is Behr. I'm going to take the paint chip to Sherwin Williams though and have them match the color. (I like this one type of paint that they have.)
I can let you know how it comes out - I'll be painting over Christmas break.

That color is exactly what I want..but i think its a sponging of two colors. Maybe its my monitor but it looks like two colors to me.

THATS THE EXACT color I LOVE for my bedroom, even though Ive been leaning toward a more brown tone lately.

Every time I see walls that color (like at the Cheesecake Factory ) Im like THATS IT THATS IT !! and when I explain it to my MIL, IM like 'a brownish orange' and shes like 'ORANGE WALLS ?????? ' and im like FORGET IT Its something you cant explain to someone that doesnt have a creative eye

Is that done by sponge or ragging?

Marcella let me know how you do it, I wanna do something very similar in my bedroom, and possibly more walls in my home if I really love it

I've seen that color before on the walls at a resturnat I've been to. I luv that look! Is that a sponging, or rolled on with a special roller?

Anna, I got all the materials this weekend at Home Depot. I am using a woolie (the roller with the divider on it) I am using Behr's Mayan Gold and a lighter color (have to check, I don't remember it off the top of my head) and then it says to roll it onto the wall in 'x's' i will be taking pics of it once it's completed.. =)

I'm hoping my bedroom to look like this once it's completed.. (if not darker.) this is also my bedding..

Re: Anyone have ochre colored walls in their home?

Marcella. I LOVE THAT color. But my dilemma is I LOVEEEE purple, and although I DO NOT want lavendar walls in my bedroom, Im almost positive that i'll wind up with plum/lavendar family colored bedding, and I dont know how it would look with that color.
Too orangey for purples right ?
I should stick more to the brown with a hint of orange?
I just love the warm feeling it has....

oh great, my sister did her bedroom with a woolie so I have somone to ask for help.

thanks

post pics!

What other colors does your bedding have? I would go with a darker rather than lighter purple..like a berry perhaps?

Re: Anyone have ochre colored walls in their home?

I havent bought any new bedding 'for the revamped room' yet Ive been shopping around and nothing has caught my eye, but im definately craving a deep plum color with lavendar here and there.

May I go on a tangent? I have a queen size bed, and I INSIST on having a King comforter, its so much more suitable in size and lays on the bed better, so now I cant even buy a bedding 'set', I have to buy the comf separate and the sheets, etc...

So by the time I find the right bedding...and then decide on a color....

I'll be motivated by how yours turns out!

LOL.. you're hilarious.

I LOVE color.. At Home Depot, the people were like 'hey, whatcha painting with that color' or 'WOW that color is bright' lol We've picked out some radical colors for the house, I am soo not afraid to go a lil off..

I say go for it.. why not? The comforter was my inspiration.. Perhaps you can get a piece of art or something that will bring the colors in together?
