Although I haven't gotten to far with my ideas for centerpieces..I think that short and long centerpieces look better than the high ones. But that of course is only my opinion

I agree. I think the tall ones are gorgeous but the low long ones look really great on this type of table... its really the only table it would look good on. ( I would have actually gone with something like that but FH has a thing for the big huge tall ones )

Yes the banquet tables - apparently I am an idiot because I didnt know that was the name.

I like those centerpieces you posted, but I want the people that are on the tables together to be able to talk to and see each other.....I guess I have to find something short and wide (sort of like my body is)???

since I have a similar dillema, I have noticed that a lot of the shorter, longer centerpieces have pillar candles in them...i think they look really nice...and add a little ambiance!

We are having a tall candleabra centerpiece with all roses.

if you want to go with the taller centerpieces you just have to make sure the stand is kind of high... that way when its on the table its over peoples heads. they also have the skinny ones or the clear ones so it really dosent interfere with talking/viewing

I didn't want tall/big centerpieces either, I hate when you can't see the person on the other side of the table..my FH and I have vases left over from the favors we gave at our engagement party, we are using them, They are about 8 or 9 inches tall and are wider at the top and we are doing tulip w/ votives and rose petals...We bought the vases at Ikea...1.99 each and they are very nice...Cheaper than a florist would probably pay.

I have the banquette type tables as well and were having short, long cp's with hurricane candle in the center....

I have oval and I'm having a low bowl of a dozen roses with votives and rose petals scattered around it. Nothing too long or tall but then again, things like CP's aren't all that important to me. This is what was included in the pp price from the hall so that's what we're having.

I also had oval tables. We did low black magic roses (3 dozen) in a 8' fishbowl. And then pillar and votive candles one each side to elongate the table. I'll try to find some pics.

I'm with most of the ladies, we want to do long, low centerpieces with candles worked into them somehow.

I had oval tables..... I had raised greens & birch branches over a swirling candle cp.... I lines the cp with an oval of small vorives and rose petals, to elongate the table. It was up high enough for the guests to still see each other while they were seated.
