Before you decide for sure.... Hubby's cousin was married on a yacht and there were a few drawbacks. It was very difficult for the elderly to navigate the deck without holding on to someone or something and the stairs (ladder) going down to the dining area were even harder. It was also very cramped at the tables, and because of the layout, we could not even see the bridal table or the dance floor so we felt left out of a lot, like witnessing the toast, the first dance, etc. There was not any room to stand around to see it. If you do go with a yacht, make sure it's very spacious and that all the guests have room to view the main events.
I agree about the numbers...a friend of mine was invited to a wedding on a yacht, WITHOUT his wife!!!! they said b/c of the numbers...

I havent done it myself but a close firend of mine did. It was wonderful provided you have a small guest list. I am actually going to look into doing a party on one for my companies 10 year anniversary.
