Did anyone have the sellers pay rent so you can move up the closing date? We want to lock in a mortgage rate now and know that it will stick, but our closing date won't be until July. Our attorney said we might want to consider asking the sellers to close earlier, if they can't, then to pay rent until they move out because we're losing out on the appreciation of the house by having a closing date that far out. Any thoughts? TIA!

My friend did this and had it done to her. She didn't have to pay though. We are doing it. It's like 150 a day.

Re: Anyone have sellers pay rent?
My brother and his wife had something in their contract that the seller would pay $200 a day if he was not out in time. I know they had that put in there because they were nervous because the seller seemed in no hurry to leave.
