As in, has been married before, had a wedding, divorced and now is having another one?
I was married years ago. Got divorced and my FH is desperate to have a big *** wedding. Truthfully, my Mom planned my whole wedding and it wasn't anything near what I wanted. She picked the flowers, my dress, the place. Ugh.
I've been back and forth with him on this and he wants one so I've relented. My parents feel he deserves one since he's never been married.
Any opinions? Anyone in my situation?

This is a 2nd wedding for both myself and FH. I had a small 'shotgun' wedding last time and it was not at all what I had dreamed about. FH had the big giant wedding last time.
We talked about it a lot, and we were open to both having a big wedding and just running off and eloping. We decided that we wanted the big party because it is so 'us'. We are keeping it a bit conservative though and only inviting 100-125 guests. It's still way bigger than my last one.
I say, do whatever feels right for both yourself and FH.
I think that if we had gone smaller, we both would have been happy, but I may have always had in the back of my mind a little wish that we had gone bigger.

Thanks so much. Seriously, I've having such anxiety over it. Planning is fun. FH is hilarious about it. He's a completely groomzilla but I worry people are gonna think oh geez, another wedding? I mean it was wayyyy back in 95 but his family is gunning for a wedding so I guess that's fair,

I wasn't married b4 but i was engaged b4. I went through that same stress and anxiety as to whether or not to have another engagment party. Originally I told my fh i didn't want one, or if anything something really small and I cant ask my family to give ne gifts or nething. I was worried about what everyone would say like 'omg shes having another engagement party' My fh really wanted a big engagement party and after stressing out gave in to him. Us and everyone else had an absolute blast. I stressed out over nothing. My advice to you is to do what u want not ur family or neone else but u and ur fh, its ur wedding.

I got married in 2007 to my hubby and I was suppsoed to have the wedding april 2008 but had to postpone for medical reasons. I wanted to have a wedding soo bad so I am now. Even though I have been married for awhile I never got to be a bride and I want to have them so in a way me and the hubby are kind of renewing our vows. I am having a hard time thinking how to word our invitations.

ive been engaged before. was supposed to get married january 2009 and called it off. now engaged again. i was kinda freaking about it too.
i say do what the 2 of you feel you want. How do YOU feel about a big wedding?
