Anyone having a band?

My parents are generously paying for my wedding and yesterday after booking the hall, my dad was talking about how much he would love for us to have a band. Now, I would love it too but I certainly am not about to put my father is debt.

So girls....can you tell me who your band is an what youre paying??? THANKS

I am not having one but my best friend is using Rengade and they are supposed to be great. They are actually performing tomorrow at Westbury Manor if you are interested. And my friends sister had Times Square Orchestra. at her wedding and they were awesome.

We are having a band (although if it was up to me I'd go the DJ route). My FIL's are generously paying for it.

We have not booked our band yet, but have heard to expect a range between $5000-9000.

We are having a band per FH' request...We are using The Projekt (a vendor on here)...We are paying in the $5K range

we are using a band and i couldnt be more excited about it...We are usign heart and soul (a frankling wayne band) and they really are awesome! i think they are basically in the middle range as far as prices go

wow, are you serious with that price? that's awesome! honestly, i figured they'd charge MUCh more!! they played at a wedding in december that i attended and they were absolutely AWESOME. you will not be disappointed. i am looking into them for my Sept 2006 wedding!!!

I used Niteflight and they were awesome. Honestly, the best vendor I had to deal with. They are 9pcs and they are under $5k. They are a vendor on LIW and have been around for years. They work independent of a booking agent so you deal directly with the bandleaders.

We are using Paris. We were originally going to hire a DJ but when we heard Paris at a showcase we fell in love with them and booked them right away!

We are having a Greek band and a DJ. (Dj only plays for about an hour or so) They are family friends so I'm not sure how much we are paying yet. Others have paid around 5k for them so I'm expecting that much.

I was actually shocked myself...When i called, they told me in the price range of $5000-6000, but I guess it also depends on the month like anything else....Fortunately FH is a great negiotiater too

We are using NYC Swing. The are a little more money than some of the other bands but they are very talented. If you are interested in price information please FM me.

Niteflight is good, but tell the female singer to wear a better top..she was the subject of many jokes at WOTY! She resembles dolly parton, and not in isnging voice!

But anyway, I always planned on a Dj, I really think I like that better, but if we do postpone and won't be as strapped for cash, I may consider it. I'm interested in Code Bleu

Hi, we are using Soul Revival Entertainment. They are affordable compared to a lot of other bands out there, and they have an amazing song list. Another thing, they are all young 20's-30's, which is very unique. They have a website, www.soulrevivalband.com.

We plan on having a band. We had to consider the size of the room and the amount of guests we are having to help us determine how many pieces we need. The ceiling in the new ballroom of the temple are going to be quite high. To have any less than 10 pieces with 200-225 guests would make our place sound empty not to mention making the affair look cheap - like we were cutting corners. We anticipate spending around $8,000 for a full 10 piece band. FH's priority is music and I feel that if the music stinks, then no one will dance and no one will smile and have a good time. If no one has a good time then the pictures look lousy and those are not the memories I want to have. Food gets digested and flowers die, but pictures last forever.
