Anyone having a cocktail reception?

If so, how are you setting your tables?
Will you have forks, glasses, etc there?
What type of centerpieces are you having?

my friend had a cocktail reception ... it was a buffet line for dinner so when you got to the place there were no place settings you just sat where you wanted .. it was a very nice wedding .. it was classy affair ...
hth .. if not sorry

Thanks. Do you remember what the centerpieces were like? I don't know if it's weird to have the usual type of centerpiece or not.

i had a reception in this style. we did not set the tables at all, just low floral centerpieces. the caterer put napkins and cutlery at the stations where the food was placed and glasses were at the bar. the reason you cannot do place settings is that at a cocktail reception, people may not sit in the same place the whole night.

my friends had a buffet style reception and they had low fishbowl centerpieces with fall looking centerpieces. it fit on the big and small tables. they had tables that fit 10 and ones that fit 4.

mmmm- Yum. The cocktail hour food is the best part of the whole wedding! I only recently heard about doing this, it's a great idea.
