anyone having a mother daughter dance?

I just read one of the posts about songs you guys definately want to play at your wedding.

My dad's not alive anymore and I really want to dance with my mom-some people said pick an uncle or dance with my father in law. I'm going to dance with my mom for the father daughter dance. Still havent chosen a song yet tho!

Anyone thinking of doing the same?

My parent's are divorced and i'm not close with my dad so i am going to dance with my stepfather. However, i am debating on whether or not to dance with my mother but i'm not really sure. A BEAUTIFUL song is called...In My Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride. Listen to it it's so beautiful.

My mother is no longer alive but I will be playing a song in her memory. I haven't completely decided how I want to do it. Originally I was thinking of having a video with all kinds of pictures of her with people that are at the wedding. I was thinking of writing a note in my Christmas cards asking people to send me pictures and then compiling something.
I once heard this woman perform this song years ago when I was in a bar in Port Jefferson and I was brought to tears and bought her album. It's called Carolyn by Cathy Kreger. She's a local LI artist. My mother's name was Carol Ann and for some reason the song sounds like she is singing Carol Ann.

How cool would it be if I could get that woman to sing it at my wedding?

I usually cry at those dances too. I know that I will cry if I do my video thing. I usually tear up when I hear that song anyway.

The idea of your parent's wedding song is a cute one.

I am, my Father's not in my life, never has been. My mother is my best friend. My MOH did that at her wedding, even though she her parents are still together and they are close, it was so beautiful. They danced to in my daughters eyes, not sure who by... I think me and my mom will do either I believe by Fantasia or Wind Beneath my Wings, I may do that one with My Auntie, her sister who I am extremely close too and that is her favorite song. Mommy loves I Believe, she's not a crier but thats the only song that does it, and with all that I have been through in my life and all that we have been through together raising me as a single parent, putting me through college and grad school, and having her always tell me to believe in God and everything will be ok, i think that song is perfect... oh my goodness i'm tearing up right now!! LOL.. I can't wait till the day!!

He won't be at the wedding either. I don't speak to him. So, my mother and my stepfather will be walking me down the aisle and i will dance with my stepfather for the father/daughter dance.
