Anyone having a small BP?

If so, how many BM and GM?

Also, what other things, besides readings, could you have special people do to be part of the ceremony w/ out being in the actual BP?

We had only BM/MOH and one BM/GM. Other possible jobs: readings, actual ushers at the hall/synagogue/church, toasts or blessing at the meal...

I had a MOH and DH had a BM. We also had a reader. And a friend of mine's daughters handed out the programs.

I'm having maod of Honor, a Matron of honor and up to 2 more BM (it's hard b/c all of my friends ar ein law school, medicla school or abroad, so I don't ahve answers from everyone). One the guys side, a Best Man, a Head Usher and definiely one, maybe 2 other guys

4BM and 4GM (that includes MOH and BM), small in comparison to other weddings I have been to. You can have people be ushers to recognize them.

I feel the smaller the better, it makes it more personal. Besides it's less of a headache w/ people dropping out at the last minute, or them not doing anything to help preparing. And most of all.....LESS MONEY.

i think mine is small...compared to others.

2 Bm's (one girl, one guy--weird i know)

you can make someone an usher. they just handle guests and don't necessarily have to stand in the wedding party. you could also have someone help with props you are using during the ceremony. like for example we are doing 'pouring of the sand' and we might have friends who aren't BP members, hold the containers for us, till we're ready. or we're always giving roses to our mothers towards the end of the ceremony...and since we want it to be a surprise...we may have 2 people hold those roses thru the ceremony and then hand them to us when we're ready.

other ways to have people help: hand out programs, petal cones (or bubbles or whatever else is being thrown), etc.

For Kids/tweens you can have them hand out the programs and or flower cones...

Also... someone can bring up the gifts ie... wine and bread... if it is Catholic, I don't know if all religons do that.
