I have optimum voice and everywhere I call I get a weird busy signal... argh!
Is this just me or is everyone having this problem? Thanks!

Hmmm... weird. I called the kid that I tutor to cancel, and couldn't get through. I called my mom to tell her I made it home alive, and couldn't get through.
I called my cell phone to see if it would ring, and THAT rings, but I can't call anyone but... myself!!
ETA: I can use my cell here IF and ONLY if I press my face against the window or go out onto the porch... and with this wind... NO WAY!

I also have an internet based phone, called lingo. I haven't tried to dial out with it, but when my parents called me, the phone rang, I picked it up, and heard a fast busy signal, as if it disconnected. Then they left me voicemail, though!

hmm thats weird i haven't had a problem with my phone with optimum did you check you wire on your computer that goes to the phone maybe it fell out or maybe its loose.

So weird, I had the whole busy signal thing too, and I just tried my student and I got through!
Very strange... maybe their circuits were busy?

ok for anyone else that is having a problem, i did too the othe night i called and this is what they told me to do 1. i know you will not like this but for a few mintues you will need to turn off the compter 2. unplug modem 3. wait 2 mintues replug 4. wait till all lights come back on the modem and it should be ok then! other wise i would call to tell them that! good luck hope it works your welcome!

I've been getting weird text/characters on my cell phone where the date usually goes. I don't know what that is all about.

Guess what? I got a few calls through, thank god got to my student and told him I'm burrowing in for the night and asked if he had any questions for a phone session, but now it's not working again!
Oh well I'll just stay on LIW and not talk to anyone!!
