we are having the ceremony there- i want to use a lot of candlelight at the ceremony - wanted to know what the lighting is like there. also, is anyone/has anyone seen the chairs they have decorated for the ceremony? i don't know if i need to dress them up or if i should leave them the way they are. another question i have is that is it possible for guests to be seated from the outsides instead of from the aisle? is there enough room to do this? i'm in the plaza room (upstairs to the left). the reason i ask this is bc i want to have candlelight and rose petals on the aisle but don't want guests ruining it by stepping on it.

I have been thinking the same thing I getting married outside @ 830 so i also wanted it lite with candles or wanted to know how it was lite and decoreted... what are your doing for after you say I do, we also have the Plaza room

I've been to an outdoor ceremony and it is so beautiful. Really. The ceremony we attended was at dusk and it was so pretty. They have floor lights positioned very well, and it's very romantic.
We are doing an indoor ceremony and they are very very accomodating with whatever you want to do. We have tulle being draped between the pedestals so as not to allow people to enter from the aisle, but the outside.
The chairs for an indoor ceremony are the chairs for the reception. I happen to like them, they are very rich looking, burgundy with gold trim, but they have chair covers should you want them (for an extra fee of course..). The outdoor chairs are white wooden folding chairs.
I'll post pics of my ceremony when I'm back from my honeymoon in 3 weeks!

i'm jealous that you are having the ceremony outside!! we are doing it in nov so i don't think that would be possible for us. is your cocktail hour outside too? we will be in another room after the ceremony- not sure which one. i guess they decide that that day.
also- for your cocktail hour are you having centerpieces or anything on those little tables?

I too am getting married there...I am having an outdoor ceremony. I have seen the room set up for the ceremony inside...it depends on which room the actual ceremony will be taking place in. I saw it set up in the starlight room for a huge wedding and it was so amazing. It looked like it was set up for about 400 guests. Call your BM and ask if you could go and see the set up early before a wedding starts to get an idea of what it will look like. As for cotail hour...CH provides votive candles at each table. The food is enough decoration during that time. Good luck!
