Dh and I are going to the game tonight with some friends..it's one of those $5 value nights for the cheap seats. Just wondering if any of my fellow Met fans were catching the game.

Even though the mets are pretty hopeless right now, I still love going! Plus, DH and I are still loving living so close to Shea, so we take as much advantage as we can....only for really cheap seats though!

I really wanted to go Friday night to see them play the SI Yanks - I'm from SI. However, the friends we were making the plans with, who live close to the stadium, can't go that night.

Boo!! I was there last night. But to be honest, we left at the end of the 5th inning, it's getting RIDICULOUS now.
By the way, anyone hear what's going on with Cliff Floyd today? He was hit really hard on the elbow but stayed in and actually made a helluva throw in the 4th but they took him out after, I assume due to the elbow.

DH and I have one steadfast rule: NEVER leave before the game is completely over, no matter how terribly they're losing. Maybe we're just gluttons for punishment....
It's always fun when you see those games where the Mets are losing so terrible that they just start having non-pitchers pitch!!!

I used to follow that rule too. But, they've been so damn awful lately and we live about 5 1/2 minutes from the stadium and get free tickets. If I had paid for them, I would have stayed but they were given to us.
The first game I ever left early was Opening Day last year. It was about 45 degrees out with 30mph wind gusts and Glavine pitched the worst game of his life. It was 14-2 when we left in the 7th. Some things are worth changing your rules for.

Hmmm....maybe I would consider it then...actually, I'm sure I would want to leave, and DH would make me stay!
