Re: Anyone hear of The Woodlands?? Thoughts??
That was my other favorite when deciding, but we ended up going w/ De Seversky b/c we both just KNEW :)
here are the quotes we were given for Fall 2011 wedding:
sat/sun DAY - 120pp sun NIGHT - 135pp sat NIGHT - 160pp fri DAY - 130pp *all before taxes/gratuities
Also the mins were:
sat/sun DAY - 100 PPL sat NIGHT - 175 PPL sun NIGHT - 150 PPL
ALSO - we started looking toward the end of 2009 so this cld have increased depending!
OH - and 1 more thing - $5,000 deposit is needed to secure the date!
HTH!
EDIT TO ADD - it is def well-kept, the place has an old-world feel and i love the fountain in the front. it depends on your style, though, if you are into the mansion-y look :) the only area of concern for us really was that the actual space for the party seemed sort of bland compared to the rest of the place, but then again it wasn't decorated or anything so i'm sure it could be fab :)

I went to a wedding there it was nice. Unfortunately it rained that day so the outdoor ceremony was inside and a little dark. There are lots of pic opportunities indoors which is nice. Food was good. The only negative things that stood out to me were the shape of the ballroom is kind of long and rectangular which made it hard to see what was going on if you were seated far from the dance floor and there were not enough seats during the cocktail hour.

I went to two weddings at the woodlands and both of them were absolutely beautiful. You can really make it your own and both weddings had such a cozy feel. Id definately recommend it, I was thinking about booking there but good friends of ours had their wedding there and i did not want to copy!
