My fiance and I have been looking at wedding venues for weeks now and have finally found two that we like. No one we know has ever heard of either of the places so I need to know if any of you have.
Please tell me what you know about Riviera at Massapequa http://www.rivieracaterer.com/main.html and The Vineyard Caterers http://www.vineyardcaterers.com/

My dad's friend has company banquets at Vineyard Caterers all the time and he highly recommended them to me. He said the food is amazing and the staff bends over backwards for you! If it weren't so far for us, I would have definitely considered them!

I love the Riveria - unfortunately our guest list blew up and they couldn't accomodate the number of guests that we're having. I went there for a birthday party and their food was amazing!
I love the look of the place plus it's right by the water so you can have your CH outdoors (if you're having a summer/fall wedding). Plus I thought they were reasonably priced for a one wedding at a time place.

My brother and sister-in-law got married at The Riviera. I think its a very nice RH! Their wedding was in September and the ceremony and cocktail hour were outside. They were both beautiful! They have an amazing water view and cocktail area. They ballroom is very nice as well. The food was also good. I would have considered having my wedding there, but I did not want to use the same RH as my brother. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!! Good luck with your search!

I'm getting married at the Riviera and I think it's pretty awesome! Just got back from making a payment actually.
They said that most of May of 2011 is booked so if you are considering there I would get on it quick.
So far the customer service has been great - we have booked 2 of their in house vendors already and the place itself is great! We loved the food when we did a tasting too.

I'm getting married at VC!! The BM and maitre'd are awesome. They are very laid back. We did a tasting there and the food is really yummy! My FH used to do valet there a lot when he was in college and he always liked working there more than a lot of other places where the owners/ BM and etc were not so nice. It's not a big fancy hall like other places, it's smaller, classy and low key. A few people I work with have been to weddings there and they said they were the best weddings they ever went to.
