Anyone here a pharmacist?

Anyone here a pharmacist?

Make a long story short...I graduated w/ a BA in Forensic Psychology. Went to law school for a little while and hated the law and anything associated w/ it. I'm worked in a pharmacy for about a year and enjoyed it. I now work at Memorial Sloan and am seriously considering in going for a pharmacy degree. Do you have any advice or info that would help me? I know I have to take my PCAT'S and some basic science courses, but would having a B.A. already hurt my chances. Thanks for your help.

Hey Rina - I'm not a pharmacist but my step-father is clinical faculty in the pharmacy department at St. John's so I could ask him a few questions if you'd like me too.

Good luck with your decision - I know that at Stony Brook University (where Step-dad is an assistant director) they are desprate for pharmacists, so I'm sure you could get a job fairly easily.

Oh wow...that would be so nice of you Deb. I would so appreciate it. I can't being to tell you how much it means. I'm going to look into Stony Brook also. Where I work right now, the pharm. dept is located right below me and I'm hoping to get transferred down to the Pharm which would be so great.

He said that it shouldn't be a problem to get in with a BA - and to look into LIU and St. John's if you want to stay on the Island.

Good luck to you!
