Have any of you had what I did (lap band) or bypass? The reason I am asking is bc I have to get a dress but my weight is going down and how does that affect getting a dress?

My mom had the bypass and a women I work with. Maybe you should wait a little longer to start your fittings since the lbs are just comming off quickly. Congrats to a new you!

I concur....please wait. My cousin lost very quickly (3-4 months).
Please be certain to have some olive oil and exercise to regain elasticity in your skin...CONGRATULATIONS! What a positive life change!!!!

You still have PLENTY of time to go dress shopping. Give it another 4-6 months and see where you weight stands. Then you can start looking for dresses. And then when you find 'the dress' they'll let you know if you have to order then or can wait another month, for instance, to actually order.

Wait as long as you possibly can. I'm going through it right now with the dresses, hence why I sold my first dress. I had my surgery in april of 07 and hit a plateu.. didn't lose anything in 6 months then it started back up again. How long ago was your surgery?? FM me if you have any questions. Good Luck!

def wait.... I ordered mine 6 mos before the wedding, had no probs at all. it came in w/i 3 mos. look around at dresses, but dont order anything just yet. you have lots of time

My girlfriend had the surgery and lost weight within month. I would definitely want a couple of months before you get a dress. You have a little bit of time because your wedding is in 2010.
