Anyone here taken the MCAT?

just wondering if there's a recommended prep course,
I swear that some prep courses really make the difference,
if it wasn't for BARBRI, I don't know if I would've passed the NY BAR Exam.

Any advice on the MCAT?

I am starting this fall to get the remaining prereqs that I require.
However, I'm thinking of taking the MCATs in April (They are offered only in April and August), so I have to study while in school).

I just want to get all the info., war stories I can about this test.

I also looked into take the MCAT, and if I were you, although you may not want to wait that long, I would wait until you are finished with the rest of your prereqs before you take the test. If you dont have a strong background in physics, organic chem and the other sciences and you take it, it will be difficult to do well. Besides, the medical schools do not like to see someone take the test over and over again, they really only want someone to take it once or twice, so I wouldnt take it just for kicks in April if you are truly not ready for the test. If and when you do decide to take it, definitly take the Kaplan, it is the best from what I hear. Good luck to you!
