ANYONE HIRING????

If anyone knows of any job opening pls. let me know. There is a huge re-organization going on at my job and people are being moved around the country, fro Ok City to Atlanta. I thought my position was safe here in NY, but apparently not. I may be 'laid off' as early as next Friday.

I graduated with a degree in communications (public relations) but work for the FAA doing budgets, project schedules, dealing with contracts, etc. I plan on going to law school in September so a position in a law firm (doing anything) would be ideal.

Please let me know if you come across anything. It would be so helpful, especially with my wedding only 6 months away.

Sorry to hear this! I don't know of any openings but check the usual- monster.com etc...I don't know how long unemployment lasts but maybe you should wait to go back to work after your wedding? That way you don't have to worry about taking your HM time? I know money is a concern too tho...it's never easy.

Hopefully you won't even be laid off in the first place tho!

I agree. I just got a new job a month ago through the Times. I found it was better than Monster and Hot Jobs. I got no responses from anyone I contacted through there.

If it happens, which we all hope it doesn't, go for unemployment. I waited 6 months after I was layed off because of my stupid pride. I thought unemployment was a last resort for the lazy. I was sooooo wrong. It was a blessing! I am praying for you.
