anyone in banking?

My bank gave me the wrong account number for a direct deposit.

So, it didn't go through. BUT, they are insisting that they never received this direct deposit.

Who do I complain to? I live in NJ...

1st...ask the person who issued the dd to perform a reversal....as long as the paydate is within 5 business days of the paydate they can legally perform the reversal...after that they can not.
2nd...you can ask the person who issued the deposit to run a trace....the $$ may have been returned since the name on the account was not you.
