that can reccomend a good hair salon..(my mother in law to be is from out of town and she is staying in huntington the weekend of my wedding and she wants me to make her an apt for an updo but i dont know the area.).

where in huntington? Near Huntington village? Huntington is pretty big.
I use Gizay Michaels salon on Jericho turnpike, near the intersection with route 110. It's about 15 minutes south of Huntington village.

Hi, there is also Cactus, there are several, one on Jericho Tpke. near Park Ave. - Fran. And Anthony DeFranco also on Jericho east of 110 - ask Michelle (colorist) to recommend someone for up-do. A bit less pricey is Ideal in East Northport - Tonya.
I haven't had an up-do myself, sorry.
Will your FMIL bring pics or just go in on trust?

...But be aware if you go to gizay michaels, they only accept cash. After spending $200 on highlights and a cut, I had to run in the pouring rain to the nail salon behind the store to use the atm, i had to use it 2 times b/c it has a low maximum withdrawal, really annoyed me

In the shopping center right behind gizay michaels, if you go out the back door there is a shopping center a little to the left. I never carry my check book, only the debit card
