Anyone in the medical field?? Help please! :(

I am seeing a doctor, but couldn't get an immediate appt so I'm hoping I can get a little bit of help now.

On Saturday I went to get a manicure at a place I'd never gone to before. It's right next to my hair salon. I heard they weren't great, but I was in a rush and figured they couldn't screw it up that bad..(boy was I wrong, but that's besides the point.)

Anyway, the girl (who looked like she was 15) massaged my hand really rough. An hour or two later, my ring and pinky finger felt numb/had a prickly sensation. Fast forward to today (technically Thursday) and the prickly sensation has not gone away.

My mom told me to try and massage it out because she probably pinched a nerve, but the massaging really hasn't help. I am so worried.

Does anyone know what this could be from? I didn't pick up anything heavy, hit it or anything else like that.

From personal experience, not medical, I say it sounds like a pinched nerve to me. If that is the case, you just have to deal with it until the tingling stops. Massaging it will prob make it hurt less. I would look into WebMD also. here!

I'm no Doctor but this happened to me a couple years ago. My pinky and part of my ring finger were numb but for no apparent reason.

It was my Ulnar Nerve in the pinky that was causing the numbess, she sent me to a neurologist but it turned up nothing and eventually went away. I think she also called it 'paraesthesias of the hand'.
