....will I have a hard time getting tulips in October? Appointment with florist is in June but I want to know what to expect and have a back up plan if needed.

what florist are you using? Im getting married in October and Burtons told me that I can get any flower I want (all the same price) except for peonies. they would be a much higher price.

Tulips are generally not in season in October. There are christmas tulips available in December, but October it will be hard ...
