Anyone know a computer program for...

...printing out 4x6 sized templates that would have a pic of FH and I AND be able to have words, too?

We are giving out 4x6 photo albums as favors, and we want to put something in the first picture slot w/ a pic of us and a little something thanking our guests for coming. Can you do something like that in Word, or do you need something more complicated?? And if you CAN do it in Word, how do you do it? LOL! Thanks!

you can do it in word - you just have to change the size of the paper under page setup (paper tab)

Can you insert a picture there, too? I was trying to do it before and I couldn't get it. If I aligned the pic to the right of the page, it wouldn't let me type words next to it. Grrr!

i would say indesign/quark but most people can't get their hands on that unless you pay for it or have a friend that can give a off lisc copy.

You can try power point or another microsoft product for layouts but yet i can't remember the name (publisher?)

Can you put a text box next to the picture?

Power Point might be eaiser?

In word, size your page to 4x6, then:

1.Click insert
2.picture
3.from file
4.locate the pic and add it to the document
5.once the pic is added double click the pic
6.click the layout tab
7.then click behind text

this will put your picture behind the words, so you will be able to type on top of the pic. It is just like typing on a blank document so you have to space it correctly so that it is centered, or however you want it on the pic.

Ok, I did try this and when I went to print the page out, my printer was asking me for some special paper? I guess b/c I changed it to 4x6? Any thoughts??

my printer doesnt do that, but you can try doing file, print, properties, and where it says size is click custom & put in 4x6.

Maybe cuz I am trying to use a work printer? LOL! I will try this at home tonight and see if it works any better! Thank you very much!
