Not sure if either of these do private parties but 56th Fighter Squadron in Farmingdale has a really good brunch, or try the St. James in Mineola, NY.

There's a Marriott near Nassau Coliseum that does a nice brunch.

You probably don't want to travel this far, but the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook does an amazing brunch.

Molly Malone's in Bay Shore. They have a separate room upstairs plus it's on the water.

56th has a nice brunch FH and I go every few months!!

Try THE OAK ROOM at Bethpage State Park!!!!! I did my tasting there since my wedding is going to be at Carlyle and they do brunches as well! Its beautiful and overlooking the Golf Course for the US Open (which i believe is in 2009 if im not mistaken.)
