I found BM dresses that i absolutley LOVED in bride magazine last year. They were the perfect style, color, cut .....everything. But they don't make them anymore and I'm really bummed. My MOH (sister) is bummed too cuz she really liked them as well. What I also liked was that they came in three different cuts, but in the same color and style, and since I have six BM's that are all completley different sizes, I figured that this would be perfect........anyhow, now I am looking into having a seamstess duplicate the dresses for each of the girls. Anyone ever done this before, or know of one who is good and not over the top expensive. I don't want to impose a huge payment on my BM's but I just loved those dresses.

Re: Anyone know a good seamstress???
I hate to tell you this but my mom is a seamstress and unless you want to pay alot of money for custom made dresses, you are going to have a hard time to find someone to do this for you and do a quality job. There are so many different manufacters and they copy each others dresses all the time so try looking at the others to see if there is anything similar to what you had seen and wanted previously. Good luck in shopping!

You can call Tanya's Tailoring in Sayville. She is very good and she would be able to give you an estimate.

Re: Anyone know a good seamstress???
I was looking into having flower girl dresses made because I originally couldn't find what I was looking for. I went to a seamstress by my house in East Northport and she quoted me at least 250-300 without material and that was for a FG dress. I canb't imagine what she would charge for a BM dress.

Re: Anyone know a good seamstress???
I asked my mom what should would charge and for each girl it would be about 350-400 without material. There is alot of time put into having custom made dresses made that is why alot of seamstresses really do not do them that often.

Thanks for the info. That's a bit much to ask of the girls. Guess I'm gonna have to keep searching for something similar to the ones I saw.
Does anyone know typically when new styles come out (i.e. fall, winter etc.)?

Try Cathy Fiorenti- she is a vendor on here (Fashions by Fiorenti- look under 'gowns')- she did my dress, shawls for my bms and a bunch of other stuff....incredible work at an extremely reasonable price!

These are them. I love the colors exactly and I like how they are all very similar in style but with a different cut.
The pics are hard to see but the material is a silk charmeuse and the rust colored ones have chiffon on top and sash. These are the exact two colors I want. Rust and Gold. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!!!

Call the manufacturer directly and ask to see if they have any old stock or to point you in the right direction!!
