Anyone know of GOOD seamstress? I'm a BM in a wedding and the store we ordered from measured us all wrong. Two of us were ordered sizes too small, two were ordered sizes too big (and of course none of them can be switched!). We've tried working this out with the store and they claim ALL of us have lost and gained too much weight and that's why they are ALL off.
The store told us they don't do major alternations. They said they 'only have the capability to' take dresses in at most an inch. We're ordering some extra fabric for the girls whose dresses are too small but but you can understand why we don't trust this store with our alterations. Anyone know of a GOOD seamstress/tailor who could do some major alterations?
TIA!

We're mostly in the Bayside area but don't mind driving! The furthest we'd probably go is Patchogue.

I know a lady in Oceanside (south shore nassau) if you are interested FM me. Its her whole business, she runs a shop out of her basement and does amazing alterations. She did a really good job on a BM dress that I had to wear recently.
