anyone know about Fortunoff policy on this....

anyone know about Fortunoff policy on this....

i want to return my china and a few other things from my registry. I got married in Feb 04.... the tags are still onthe dishes and it is an open stock print so it is not a complete set.

i dont want money back, i just want a credit so I can buy something for me...

do you think they will do this after almost a year? im going to have my friend call in advance but i wanted to know if anyone knew anything beforehand...

I would call them first and see what they say and if not bring in a small piece and see what they do.

i just returned items that i had received almost a yr ago from my registry. i had no problems returning them. they gave me store credit.

I believe Fortunoff's policy is anything from a registry can be returned up to a year after the event.

I would think as long as the china is not discontinued there should be no problem, ESPECIALLY for store credit.

I think they will give store credit. I just returned some things for credit from about a year ago.

Fortunoff shouldn't give you a problem - they may question you and ask you why you are returning it, but other than that - they should be able to give you credit since its less than a year.

As long as it isn't broken - If so, they will be ask you how come you didn't return it sooner.....

You can always call them to confirm first.

Kristi, go on their website and see if your china has been discontinued. If it has been discontinued, they will not take it back. We took some stuff back 7 months after the wedding and some they took back and gave us credit and some they wouldn't take back because they were discontinued, so we got stuck with them!! Good Luck!!

also, you could always say that you just got all of it now, as a XMAS gift...

I just did that last week with some items from my bathroom set and they didn't even care!

I think they're going to say only if its 6 months after the wedding.

I had a serving bowl (everyday dishes) and I wanted to use it one day, so I washed it and then noticed that the water found tons a hairline cracks all around the bowl. So I went back to Fortunoff's, just to exchange it and that's when she told me about the 6 months thing and my pattern was being discontinued.

But then she went to the back (I guess spoke with a manger) and they OKed it and I got a new one.......plus they had so many in the warehouse
